Ricardo Alvarez

Ricardo Alvarez believes everyone deserves someone in their corner: no one should have to face an adversary alone. Whether his clients have been discriminated against, retaliated against, or seek to protect their collective rights, he’s ready to fight for them.

Before joining Johnson + Krol, Ricardo built a diverse legal background in civil rights advocacy, complex litigation, and government oversight. Those experiences strengthened his commitment to protecting the rights of his clients and sharpened the litigation skills he brings to every case.

Ricardo earned his law degree cum laude from Chicago-Kent College of Law, where he was a full-tuition Honors Scholar and received the CALI Award for Excellence in Workers’ Compensation Law. He also holds a master’s degree in Public Administration from the University of Illinois Springfield.

Outside the office, Ricardo enjoys spending time with his wife and their two cats, dabbling in tennis, soccer, and cycling, and attending concerts.
