For more than three decades, Ann Dalton has dedicated her legal career to representing injured workers throughout Missouri and Illinois, earning a reputation as a skilled and compassionate advocate in the field of workers’ compensation law. She has successfully guided clients through every stage of the claims process, from initial filings through hearings, appeals, and settlements. She is known for her clear communication, practical guidance, and ability to navigate clients through a system that can feel overwhelming.

In addition to her litigation practice, Ann frequently lectures on workers’ compensation law, helping workers, unions, and community groups understand the rights and benefits available to them.

Ann became J&K a Member in September 2026 when Hammond and Shinners joined J&K. Her extensive experience, unwavering commitment to injured workers, and respected standing within the legal community make her an outstanding addition to the firm’s litigation practice. Ann received her BS from The University of Wisconsin-Madison and her JD from the University of Missouri-Kansas City. She is a proud member of the College of Workers Compensation Lawyers and the Workers Injury and Advocacy Group, where she serves on the board. In her free time, she enjoys cooking for her family and friends, practicing yoga, and traveling.
