Elizabeth K. James

Elizabeth is an associate attorney at Johnson + Krol in the Employee Benefits practice.  Elizabeth brings a strong sense of dedication and commitment to her work.

Even during her undergraduate studies in Criminal Justice and Law & Policy at the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh, she had her sights set on a legal career. This ongoing fascination with law led her to pursue a J.D. from the University of Montana and an MBA, with an emphasis on Business Transactions, Corporate Tax, Non-Profit Organizations, and Intellectual Property.

With an extensive list of internships and clerkships under her belt, she amassed a wealth of experience in varied fields of law before venturing into employee benefits.  Her notable accomplishments include her role in the ABA Negotiations Team during her last year at law school where her team reached the semi-finals at regionals.  Elizabeth also has experience working as a police officer for the City of Madison Police Department.

Beyond her professional life, Elizabeth savors the culinary delights of Chicago, exploring the city with her dog, and spending time with her family, having relocated from her hometown of Madison, Wisconsin.
