Jagadeesh Mandava

Jagadeesh “Bob” Mandava has built a diverse legal career representing injured workers, advising clients in estate planning and probate matters, and in traditional labor law. His work also includes the representation of political subdivisions in areas ranging from general consultation in all aspects of Section 321 RSMo to the drafting of ordinances and resolutions, drafting of contracts for services and personnel matters. Bob has earned a reputation as a knowledgeable and compassionate advocate, combining decades of legal experience with a unique background in science, government service, and education.

Before entering private practice in 2003, he served as an Assistant Attorney General and Deputy Unit Chief for the Missouri Attorney General’s Office and previously held law clerk positions with Monsanto and the United States Department of Veterans Affairs. Prior to becoming an attorney, Bob worked in both business and academic settings, where his scientific research was published in Biochemistry and Cell Biology.

When Hammond and Shinners joined J&K, Bob came aboard as a Member in September of 2026. His broad academic background, legal experience, dedication to client service, and commitment to educating both legal professionals and the community make him an outstanding addition to the firm’s litigation practice. J&K is eager to welcome an attorney whose depth of knowledge and collaborative approach will benefit clients across multiple practice areas.

Outside of his legal practice, as a proud double Billiken, Bob lectures at educational programs for the National Business Institute, the Missouri Division of Workers’ Compensation, Kids’ Chance of Missouri, the Bar Association of Metropolitan St. Louis, The Missouri Bar, and numerous labor organizations. He is also an active volunteer with the Rockwood School District and Saint Louis University.

Bob is excited to join the team at J&K. He’s looking forward to working with colleagues that are dedicated as he is, even if he knows none of them will be Cardinals fans.
